ELIGIBILITY
To maintain the integrity of this event serving as a true New Jersey middle school state championship the following eligibility rules will be in affect:
- only student athletes who are in Middle School in a school located within New Jersey state boundaries may participate in the championship races. 3-6 graders may compete in the Rising Stars race.
- any athlete entered on a school's roster for this meet must be an eligible team member of the school. Eligibility shall be determined by the school.
- athlete's not representing a school team will compete as unattached and not factor into the team scoring.
RULES
The event is sanctioned by USA Track & Field. Where applicable, USATF competition rules will be in affect.
TEAM SCORING
Each school can enter one team in each race. The maximum number of athletes that can be entered and # of scorers is as follows:

Team Tie Breakers - Ties between two or more teams shall be resolved by determining which team wins the most one-on-one match-ups among their five scoring members, comparing first to first, second to second, and so on through the final scoring place.
Team scoring will not be tabulated in the Rising Stars races ( 3rd/4th grade and 5th/6th).
